Colombo Police said that they arrested the husband after he was accused of teaming up with his friends to abduct his wife and gang raping her along with her best friend. The women were taken to the Madunagala jungle in Sooriyawewa, where they were gang raped and tortured. The husband is also accused of recording the gang rape with his mobile phone. Indian is fast becoming the country of rape, recently a 71 years old Nun was raped by a gang of robbers at her convent school. This is the latest in the series of rape cases in Indian. The city archbishop has said thousands are expected to join the rally being led by the priest in support of the nun. “We expect three to four thousand people to attend the rally.
